character will not log on

i was on one of my characters and i went to the first town in tanaris and all of te people in he town would not show up like i was laggin. so i logged off and tryed to logg back on and everytime i do this it says loggin failed. that characters name is jass.  so i tried to play another character named titsxnxbeer. it did the same thing for me in silver moona nd not my character list will not load up when i sign in.  what is wrong with my account and how cani fix it?

This was during the crash yesterday, for a long time people were connected and could still move around though of course none of the game objects loaded up and they could not perform any actions.
