Back in the days when I was playing starcraft (broodwar later), there were some maps that you could play only with the "use map settings" option. I had 2 teams of players to roll the multiplayer with... from high school and from my street. Ahhh... those were the days... but back to our topic. Based on that maps I will lay here some event ideas:
So the first I remember was this map where you had to race on an oval course with a terran unit. There were pit stops and everything. You were able to attack the other participants, lay mines and so on... but there was not always time for that so... yeah, it was fun.
And the WoW version to this... everyone mounted and no buffs whatsoever. In the pit stop could be a speed boot like the ones in AB or WSG for example. The course could be from Orgrimmar to Gadgetzan for example (I did such an event when I was a GM on other private server and it turned out ok, ppl had fun) or any other track.
The second "use map settings" map I remember was one where you had to defend some towers from waves and waves of enemies. You started with some small units and in time was becoming more complex... the enemies were more and tougher and you would get better and better units. You had to resist 30 minutes to win if I recall correctly.
WoW version: A closed space with 1 exit/entrance. On that entrance, mobs will come and you and your team will have to take them down. It could be "on waves", meaning that after wave 1 comes a pause of a few seconds and then wave 2 kicks in and so on, or it could be no waves... the mobs are coming and coming. Enemies have bigger and bigger lvl and increasing health of course.
If one team member dies... he cannot use player tools while the other 4 are holding the lines... he may be revived only using WoW.
The teams will have to be at least 5 ppl, same faction.
There is no time limit and the rewards should be according to the time your team spent in there.
Maybe a top with the best teams... ?
That's it for now

Cheers
