Updating WoW

hey umm does WoW update itself automatically?? because i mcan't updat and my comp is screwed up should i login with my wowaccount and ten update [ps: i have NEVER played WoW before and am broke so im kinda confused

Hello- when the WoW realmlist file points to blizz's official realms and you use their launcher.exe, yes, one of the routines it performs is to download new content and/or "patch up"

Once you are patched up to 2.4.2, change the contents of your realmlist file to:

it gives me the corrupt file error now : (

You'll likely need a fresh download then, players know how long that takes. Delete the old files and follow working links in our Connection Guide to obtain client 2.0 and again patch up to 2.4.2

ive already done that [5 times!!!!!!] and i always get that same error
