A few general questions for starting

Hi all.

I joined up and started a Night Elf Rogue.  I immediately noticed the increased exp - By the time I made my way to Darnassus, I was over Level 10.  I'm currently Level 18 and in Darnassus still.  And I've only been questing (and killing quest-related mobs).  That's great, but the money earnings don't seem to have increased alongside.  What this means is that I've got about 9 silver on me at Level 18.  I'm not sure how I'll afford my mount in a couple of levels.  And I'm only about halfway through the starting area quests (which I consider the starting point to the point where you first ride a flying thing to Darkshore).  Are there any tips for maximizing my money in this area so I can buy my mount (and perhaps my skills)?

Also, I for some reason can't learn Leatherworking.  I went to the spot at the Crafter's Terrace and talked to each NPC there, but none offered to teach me Leatherworking.  All offered to teach me recipes, but only if my LW was at 15+.  Oddly enough, however, the NPC in the floor below LW offered to teach me Skinning.

Lastly, I only have my starter bag and another 6-slot bag I got in a quest.  I checked the AH in Darnassus, but no bags were up.  My bags fill about every other kill, and I've been making the trip to a local NPC to sell off all my goods, then going back to killing quest mobs until full again, repeat.  Any suggestions on this issue as well?

well for the gold issue, do quests and kill mobs for gold... the drop rate is way higher than a blizzards server.

for the bag issue, try finding the portal to SW and look around in the trade cebter, they sell up to 10 slot bags.

and an idea on leatherworking, try goldshire, thats where i learned mine.

My mistake, I thought mounts came at Level 20.

I continued today, where I found an NPC just outside Darnassus that taught me Leatherworking.  I farmed Light Leather to the point that I'm now 77 LW, Level 21, and close to 1G (if I hadn't been spending on patterns to skill up LW).

dont be afraid to ask others for help too, if u ever see umbra online, ask for help, and just tell me who your are and ill show you around and help you level some.
