My realmlist, she is missing!

Oh the noes, a newbie cries out pitifully. When I first open the launcher, I get an error message that essentially says "Could not find file: 'E:\\World of Warcraft\\realmlist.wtf'." And then when I click "Continue" anyway, I click to launch the server and it says it couldn't alter that very same file.

Possibly because it was stolen. By bandits.

Where may I find this mysterious bandit-tempting realmlist?

Then go to Realmlist and erase everything in that file and put in

set realmlist realm1.wowrage.nl

Then download the appropiate patches up to AND ONLY TO 2.4.2, They can be found in here http://www.wowrage.nl/index.php/topic,918.msg3827.html#msg3827 And the launcher can be downloaded AFTER the patches it is found here http://www.wowrage.nl/index.php/topic,3.0.html

Well, thank you very much for your advice. I'm sure it would work if I could, in fact, locate my realmlist file at all.

Open the World of warcraft file and make a realmlist.wtf file using Notepad and put in what I specified earlier

Ah, still the same error message. I have realmlist.wtf as a text file in my wow folder, and still no dice. When I'm saving it, should I encode it with something specific, or does it not matter? I saved it with ANSI encoding.

Last ditch option is to re install WOW, But I have mine saved on notepad...But I always open my game with WR launcher so it does not even need the realmlist. Download your patches to 2.4.2 if you have not already and download the WR launcher. Then open it with it.
