The mechanics of fixing the whole loot system coincided with a "whole patch" which broke all guild affilliation, unfortunately this took out guild banks also and present Auction items in the mail system (gold received from auctions was thankfully unaffected).

As for "LFG".... LFGold... LFGm... LFGrief... LFGlobalwhining... I won't miss it, personally.

For readers information, Some players and staff have discussed how the LFG Channel should be viewable by anyone of any level [A/H], but only players level 40+ could actually type in LFG, which would keep the "Spammers" (who make level 1 characters to advertise other servers) away, and, also new players from asking the usual ("too lazy to read the website" questions-) "what's the drop rates here" and "how many players are there' and "do BGs work??????" and stuff like that- or at least, keep all that and other "negativity" to a minimum.

One never has to put up with such "distractions" on retail, nor should anyone accept it on an outstanding private server, in my opinion.

It's nice to have a open chat for the whole server, but it's the same people day in and day out that Abuse the channel.  Thoses people that abuse it, are teaching to newer people to do thje same thing. Doing nothing but GM GM GM GM  Help a mob hit me.  GM GM GM GM GM I got my finger stuck in a Jar.

GM's are not hear to answer every question.request thats Demanded. They are here to fix class issues and Bugs/scripts. Not to sit at a computer and Babysit a bunch of durotarded people that don't even know how to play the game.

But anyways you get the points. Got a issue? Make a damn ticket. Got a question? Ask another player or Log onto here and READ.

Want my vote? I don't care but would love to See a IQ test or some test that test the players game knowledge. If they don't know where the hell Durotar is or know what totems are or what they are used for. Then they just don't join and corrupt the server even more.

P.S.  Keep up the work GM's lots stuff fixed and game is getting better.

If someone is spamming the damn channel, PUT THEM ON IGNORE, that's what it's there for.

Meanwhile when something looks to be "broken" I was asking about it, and 99.9% of the time I am getting the same responses "You're too fucking stewpid, too uncool, quit bothering us" responses.

But please keep it decent, things like "OMG OMG !!! (CAPS CAPS)" etc are not contributing to the actual discussion and will be ignored (most likely resulting in a removal of the message).

Try to find some decent alternatives instead of OMG! OMG!.
(obvious that some of us can not use the ignore option (gm's perhaps?))

I dunno. Theres only so many times a day u can deal with people logging into the channel and bitching about totems or asking inane questions over and over. Take that shit to tells. The old channel was comparable to 'Barrens chat.'

I did not just turn off the LFG channel because i felt like it...
The reason is that the original LFG options are working now, so the world LFG is obsolete (and not blizzlike).

I liked the LFG chan like most of you.. at least in some form.

I'm thinking about a minimum level requirement for LFG, since 99% of the spammers are < lvl 60 and we can't have them flood the world channels bothering everybody with useless spam/insults etc...
It would take GM's way too much of their precious time to moderate LFG and warn every single spammer out there, they have bigger issues to worry about (like ppl with not working skills/spells etc?).

So the channel _will_ be back, only not like it used to be.
If you have any suggestions then please post them here.. they are most welcome!

No other solution where given to me, so I implemented the LFG chat in a way I think it's best for all.

Current state (on the dev server):
 - World readable/writable LFG channel
 - Player auto-joins LFG on connect
 - Minimum requirement of LVL50 (if a player is < lvl50 he/she will receive a message about the requirement)
 - GM's can now ban/kick/silence players from LFG

Note that these changes will take effect on the new server upgrade (hard for me to tell when that's gonna be, since there is still lots and lots of stuff to test before we can release it)
