Kezath's Guide for playing WoW Rage and Retal

Welcome! This guide will tell you how to play both WoW Rage, and Retail WoW on the same computer, with different updates! This guide should be pretty straight forward, and please let me know if there is any troubles with it. I will explain everything to my full extent. The process itself will take a decent amount of time. However, it is rather worth it.

Step 1.
Go to "My Computer." After there, navigate into "Local Disc C:" After there, you will find multiple folders inside there. Navigate into the file titled. "Program Files". After there, locate your World of Warcraft file. This file contains all the information needed to play World of Warcraft. If you cant find this, file. Go back to your "My Computer" Once there. Hit the big "Search" button on the top toolbar. Select the option "All Files and Folders." After that, you will get 2 boxes you can type in. "World of Warcraft". The first result, will most likley be your World of Warcraft program files.

Step 2.
Now, select all the files in your World of Warcraft folder. Now do one of two things. Right click the files, and select copy. Or press Ctrl+C.

Step 3.
After you have the files copied. Hit the icon on the top of toolbar, that has a folder with an arrow coming out of it. This will navigate you up one file, back into your program files. Now, right click anywhere in the white space, and select. Create New folder. name this folder whatever you want. But for this tutorial, we shall name it. "WoW Rage".

Step 4.
The most important step. Open up your newly created folder. Then either right click and select paste, or hit ctrl+V. Now, feel free to go watch TV, a movie, or even grab something to drink for a good hour to a half hour (if your computer is doing nothing at all, I did this while playing WoW with no troubles at all, just took me a good part of a day, with a little performance dip.)

Step 5.
Now that you have 2 versions of WoW running, make sure you manually change your realmlist.wtf to the following.

- "set realmlist realm1.wowrage.nl" (without the quotes ofcourse)

Step 6.
You are so close now, you should be able to taste the rfreedom to update and patch retail while still leaving your WoW rage in patch whatever you want. Now all you have left to do. Is make a shortcut to your desktop from your WoW Rage folder. Rename it whatever you feel, I personally use "WoW Rage" as the shortcut name. Then after the shortcut is complete. Launch it. This is launch a verson of wow that connects you directly to WoW Rage. Now you can STILL update and patch your original WoW folder and game. This enables you to play retail with your friends, and WoW Rage with amazing people like me!
