Having problems logging in...

I followed all of the steps included to login to a T, and as I was replying to someone else's post, I realized that the error may have to do with the programs current status. The guide to logging in states that you must be running 2.3.2. I updated my files via Blizzard before I realized there were free servers to play on, and when I tried to login, it said that my account information was incorrect, and directed me to a Blizzard link. Upon checking, I have realized that my client is actually at 2.3.3 after updating today. Does this matter? I assumed I would recieve a different error message if this was the case. If this is the problem, how do I go back to 2.3.2?

EDIT: I decided to check things out while waiting for someone to reply or PM me back, and clicked on player tools. This was the message that I got.

Account not found on the realm server! (server down?)

I have received a message from this website saying that my account was created. Does this mean that my account just hasn't been created on the game server yet? Normally I wouldn't make a big deal over this, as I am fairly patient, but it has been over an hour since I created this profile, and the site says it will take up to 10 minutes. Anyone got some feedback?

You will get that error if the realm is down _or_ you account info could not be found _or_ do did not create any characters on the server yet (this is the case here).

Did you double check your realmlist.wtf ?

As far as I know their shouldn't be any problems with using a 2.3.3 client.

Kinda odd problem, but try logging in now using "morat" as login name instead of "moratu" (password remains the same!)

What message do you get when you try to log in? Be a little more specific, and maybe I can relate to you on what is happening.

Okay, I did not have that issue, as my problem was actually related to my login name versus the name the server had generated. My advice is to PM one of the moderators and have them take a look at the issue at hand. For me it was a matter of my login here did not match up with the server's login for the game. For you, you are just not connecting at all. The only advice I can truly give you outside of talking to a moderator is a piece of advice that they will give you by default.... go through the process again exactly as it states in the thread giving connection details. I know that is the last thing you want to hear, but right now it sounds like it is out of your hands until they can look at it. So sorry to say it. Otherwise, I hope to hear from you in game. lol It happens to the best of us. Now I can possible help you. With my problem, I originally set my login to be a certain way, but it came up short. So, for instance, your login name might be fred. Try putting the login name in as fre instead, but use you normal password instead. I know, weird, right? I don't know why this happened to me, but it did. I created my login while the server was down, so that is the only thing I can think of. Maybe the server was coming up while I was creating my account. I don't know. Anyways, worst case scenario, if the ticket system isn't working, get ahold of Triggs. If you can't login, you probably can't use the ticket system since the realm won't connect to you. Like I said, when in doubt, double check everything. For me, the only other problem I had was that my shortcuts were not set up correctly to work with the wowrage launcher, so I ended up doing it manually. Good luck!
