what's happening to the good players ?

ok my first point is that there are alot of "noobie" lvl 70s running round this could be becuase of the exp boost or that they have never played before.
my second point is that all of the good lvl 70s are in Wicked Tribe ( no disrespect to teh guild and Noc, plz dont hunt me and kill me plz!!) and they only do guild raids.

(and i know orick and capo ur good 70's Bickered Wit !!)

i really do think that people should have more "WoW" experience beforwe they play on a private realm, or make there less of an exp boost from 1-60 so people can learn to play their class.

these are just some of my thourghts so dont like "Rip" into me if ive made any mistakes.

It's all very well saying people should have more of a 'WoW experience', but that can never make them good players. You might get some people struggling on something for a long time, until someone offers them some help, and they improve with it.

You also have to consider that some people play a private server because they don't want to pay for a retail/Blizzard server to play on, or they merely prefer a smaller playerbase, just because they've not been playing long, doesn't mean you can discredit them instantly as such. I for one when starting was of course, a huge newbie on blizzard realms, but of course, it took me a month to get to level 60 idly playing so it wasn't so noticable.

That's the whole point, really, people who might be newbie on blizzard at level 20, would more like be newbie here at 60 plus. Just give people time to improve, and help them where you can, more people is good. They might be newbies to the game, but that doesn't mean they don't have the potential to become great players.

Oh, Man- There's room for players of All types here; good, bad, and in between- it's all relative.  WT came to WoWRage already a solid group of friends from retail; some liked Horde, some liked Alliance... so we tried both together.  WT's "core" has simply known each other for so long, we just "roll on automatic" together, despite the grouping problems and buff/debuff stacking issues, faction problems, and other previous limitations.

My honest opinion is that "what's happening to the good players" is that- they are all getting better... Making up their own "core" groups who will work together unselfishly like one machine- able to set timed goals and measure progress somehow.

For example, Orick and Capo are terriffic players! A Great mix of kind-hearted and serious; who work things out, think strategically, and act to improve those around them- to be the very Best at what they do.  One has to admire that.  Become part of that, when you get the chance!

No one here should rip into you for expressing your concerns; In many cases, pick-up-groups (PUGs) for PvE and PvP are a language and coordination "check"- not just a "skill" check... afterall, one can take three 'great' individual players and put them together, but still end up with a crappy "team" for example. And likewise-- three "average" players can make something *Magic* happen together when they figure out each other's "style" and timing; or, "groove" and rhythm.

Thanks for sharing, Leo. Just please remember, we were all "noobs" once upon a time, and things indeed get better over time, and, well... when they don't, or if there is any doubt:  just  /lol    Grin

Warm Regards

There are more better players out there then you give this server credit for. They may not only be on the horde side is the point. You also have to look at play times, not everyone plays at the same hours. You may find out there are more people playing on your play hours on the alliance side then the horde side. But unless people get more organized then nothing will get done.

On a side note. Nothing has been done in wicked tribe as in for raiding, that anyone else in the server could not do. Just b/c you may have only 10 people in a guild doesn't mean you can't clear kara or more. You have to get a right balance of people for the stuff your going to do. Some people may have to play healer/cc type instead of the same class like everyone else. The only reason Wicked Tribe is where there are right now, is b/c people were willing to play another class thats needed more. But I will tell you right now. Your tanks and healers need the most amount of gear when your ready to start doign kara.

If you are really looking to start raiding, then I suggest finding atleast 5 people and start clearing the regular 5 man lvl 70 instances and collecting the first set of gear. It shouldn't take more then 2 runs in each instance to get every piece of gear from each of the none heroic instances, as long as your not doign it with 3+ of the same class in the group. After that start clearing the heroics for the epic gear drops and collecting badges for the badge gear. Once your tank has no less then 480 def prefered 500+ and your healers 800+ prefered 1000+ healign and atleast 100 mana per while in combat. You will have a good base start for a raid.

Thats how we started out, and isn't that hard to do if you find the right times for people that are playing. Anyone can get to 70 on this server, but unless your willing to put some effort in your not going to do anything.  Even thothis is a private server, you still have to work your way up. Yes the encounters are easier then Retail, but you still have to be ready. You can't just go into kara with a full set of green gear that has no raiding stats. Your tanks and healers are goign to make or break your start of raiding. you only need 2 tanks for the first mob in kara, after that 1 tank can do the rest if you use your cc ability.

There are plenty of lvl 70's on that you would have no problem in getting started/geared for raiding. It's just that everyone on the damn server can't all play warriors and rogues. Take a chance and try playing another class. You just might find yourself doing groups more. But liek I said before, if your not willing to make a change or put in effort ten your not goign to do anything.

It's just time, I'm a patient person and I'm sure a lot of others are, Smiley If I ever meet noobs I try to help them out.
Your concern on WT though, I understand that people are anxious about there being only one large guild on the server, but I don't see why that's not just time too Tongue We'll catch you lot up soon enough.

I'm a noobie but i would rather play in a private server and not pay 15-20 bucks a month for a regualr server.
I got friends to help me though

im some what of a noob but not a noob. i use to play wow way back in the day. i just realy dont feel like paying for the servers. and i like the fact there is a smaller player rate then the big servers. i can actually grind in a spot with out having some ass runing up and kicking me out. the fact that there is a higher xp rate is to my advantage to because i realy dont play as much a i would like to. i could play like for a month and only have a lv 20.. maby 30 chr to show for all my hard work.

Hey everyone... this forum is an example of why i love this server, if you read all the posts there are SO many compliments going out to people ( thanks for commenting on me and Capo, i know what you guys mean about running on 'Auto' when you know someone, ive been tanking for Capo for longer then i can remember now and in instances we can get by most challenges, just need to improve our Arena skills now :p ) And Thankyou thermog for the bit about healing/tanking, hopefully it'll help people understand what they need to start raiding, thus pushing them to collect the 'correct' gear. Only after Ayasera and a few others explained to me what i needed for raids as a tank then i started getting the 'correct' gear, About a week ago i was going purly for anything with + Block ( Obviously having a high block chance isnt a bad thing ) but when your def is barly scraping 440 its not worth lots of block stuff. Now im up to around 520 def, and 29% block. Without their help i'd be squashed in a raid and useless to my raid as a tank.
As jakalecax said - We were all noobs once - I still consider myself a 'noob' theres so much i still dont understand about the hole game, i mean sure i know the warrior class fairly well :p But other classes i havnt a clue about, i mean i know what they do... just how to play them thats where i have no understanding of.
And im sure we'll catch up with Wicked Tribe one day, Might not be soon but one day we will be able to challenge you :p

What many of you need to understand is many of us did end game raiding on retail. So it wasnt hard for us to fall back into old habits on the wowrage server. Many of us were in the open beta and have been playing since its release. I stopped playing about 4 months ago, and coming to wowrage and playing with my friends rekindled the fun I once found in the game. So dont worry about catching up with us in wicked tribe cause many of us have done the content before. You guys will get there one of these days, but you cant expect to do high end content without gearing yourselves up first.
